British Young Carpers Angling Championships
The 2016 Korda British Young Carpers' Angling Championships will once again be taking place on the renowned Oxford Linear Fisheries Complex in Oxford, and once again well be back where it all started on the fantastic Oxlease! Last year saw numerous PBs broken and the biggest fish in BYCAC history at 47lb 15oz!
This event, organized by Angling Publications the publishers of Crafty Carper monthly carp fishing magazine, which is now in its 13th year will commence on Monday the 1st August until Sunday the 7th August 2016 with a series of four day-only eliminators which will see approximately 100 junior anglers battle it out for a place in the 48-hour final. Approximately 25 anglers will be entered into each of the 4 day-only eliminators which are Monday 1st August, Tuesday 2nd August, Wednesday 3rd August and Thursday 4th August. The top 8 anglers who catch the highest weight of fish from each eliminator will qualify into the 48-hour final which begins on Friday 5th August at 12.00p.m. through until 12.00p.m. on Sunday 7th August. The final will be screened on Sky Sports later in the year courtesy of our Title Sponsor Korda!
Entry to the BYCAC 2016 is on a first come, first served basis, as long as you are aged 17 or under on August 1st 2016, have your own overnight carp catching kit and a responsible adult (aged 18 or over) to accompany you, you too can enter - could you be the next British Young Carpers Angling Champion?
