**Upcoming Lake Closures for Matches/Events**

- The whole of Brasenose-Two will be closed from 9am Friday 27th Feb until about 2pm Sun 1st March for a charity match.


Brasenose One

Brasenose-One has bee in fine form lately with plenty of fish to mid-thirties coming out.

Tom Hyde topped a seven fish session using single hook baits with two new PB's, both mirrors. The first weighed 31lb 02oz and was followed by another weighing 31lb 10oz.

Steve Pawluck had an amazing session recently landing 24 out of 31 runs to nearly 28lb, his weekend session saw him end up with 14 fish over 20lb. Steve fished at about 80 yards range over a very heavily baited area of maggots, corn, pellets, parti-blend and boilies.


Hunts Corner Lake

Dave Cummings had two fish using sweetcorn and hemp, the fish weighed 24.08 and 25.06.


Unity Lake

Kevin Horton had a mid-double ghostie mirror along with a 23lb 12oz common and 23lb mirror during a session this past weekend.


Oxlease Lake

Fishing together using Velocity Baits pop-ups Aaron Fisher, Cully Hassard and Chris Notley had a number of fish. Aaron landed mirrors of 23.08 and 26.02, Cully had a nice 28.02 mirror and Chris landed a stunning 15lb scaly mirror.

There was also a 35lb plus mirror out over the weekend.


Security

**Gate Locking Times**

From Sunday March 1st the gate locking times will revert back to 9pm. In the morning all gates will still be open by 8am.

**Pike Fishing**

Just a reminder that our pike fishing season finishes on Saturday - From Sunday 1st March any form of pike fishing is not allowed until the season opens back up again on October 1st.

**Upcoming Lake Closures for Matches/Events**

- Linear’s last pike match of the season will be held at St. Johns Pool on Sunday the 22nd February - The whole lake will be closed to the public whilst the match is on.

- The whole of Brasenose-Two will be closed from 9am Friday 27th Feb until about 2pm Sun 1st March for a charity match.


Brasenose One

Although it's been very cold at the fishery lately and a number of the waters have frozen, Brasenose-One is still producing fish.

Rob Avery has fished a few day only session recently landing a couple of very nice common and a cracking 27lb 04oz mirror. All Rob's fish fell to DNA Baits boilies.

Steve Clarke from Hinders of Swindon managed three nice mirrors during a hectic 30-min feeding spell, Steve used Fox yellow & black zig aligna's soaked in Hinders Betalin & Black.

Fishing with Steve was Scott Rivers who had a very pretty mid-double using a snowman rig fished in conjunction with a pva stick.

Damian Ziolkowski had mirrors of 16lb 05oz and 21lb using zig rigs.

Clive Turner from Didcot angling had a double fishing over a spodded area.

And Callum Boyle braved cold conditions on B-1 landing six and losing two. Callum fished sweetcorn, hemp and maggots with hook baits soaked in Hinders Betalin, his biggest fished weighed just over 20lb.

St Johns Pool

The Charity Pike Match held on St. Johns pool yesterday went very well with 12 fish landed to low doubles. The match which was held in conjunction with the MNDA, Linear and the PAC raised about £400 on the day which will go to the Motor Neurone Disease Association. A big thanks to everyone who helped out with the match.


Brasenose One

Scott Fraser landed four fish during very cold conditions using maggots and North East Baits pink krill punch pop-ups. Scot landed a double, two twenties and topped his session with a very impressive new PB weighing 37lb 06.

And Nick Fallon had six fish during a recent trip to the water, his catch included mirrors of 23.04, 22.06 and 30lb and were all caught using corn and maggots.


Oxlease Lake

Linear Bailiff, Ivor Peachey struggled through most of his session but during a typically short winter feeding spell of three hours he landed four fish, the biggest two weighing 21lb and 27lb 04oz.


Brasenose Two

Mitch Gillam had two fish up to 21lb during a 36-hour session. Mitch used maggots fished over a large bed of hemp and corn.


St Johns Pool

Linear regular, Angie Lawely had seven fish up to 20lb 10oz, all Angie's fish fell to Sonubaits Code-Red pop-ups fished in solid bags filled with Code-Red pellets.


Gaunts Lake

During a recent weekend session, Scott Harris landed four fish up to 24lb 04oz. Scott used Mad Baits Nutz boilies along with Wicked Whites and Zing pop-ups, these were fished to a silt spot at about 60 yards range.

**Bait Boats are Banned at the Fishery**

Please make sure you are fully aware of all the fishery rules. This monrning two anglers were asked to leave after using a bait boat throughout the weekend. We take no pleasure in asking anyone to leave the site but we have rules for a reason.

- The PAC charity pike match is being held on St. Johns Pool on Sunday the 1st of February in aid of the MNDA. The whole lake will be closed to the public whilst the match is on.


Brasenose One

Chris Lowe had 22 fish this week using Sonubaits Code-Red boilies along with Sonubaits pellets and particles. His catch included a number of twenties topped by a mirror weighing 29lb 04oz.

Fishing with Chris was Angie Lawely, Angie landed seven fish, three twenties up to 25lb 10oz. The winning bait was also Sonubaits boilies, pellets and particle.

Gavin Neal had ten fish using maggots, particles and Blakes Baits Snowberry boilies, his catch included seven twenties up to 27lb.

Clive Turner and Ivor Peachey also got amongst the fish on B-1 but we haven’t any details on their catches.

- There will be approximately 10 swims closed on Brasenose-One on Sun 18th Jan for a Pike Anglers Club Fish-In. Swims 33-43 will be closed for this Fish-In.

- Linear’s fourth pike match of the season will be held at Hardwick/Smiths Lake on Sunday the 25th of January - The whole lake will be closed to the public whilst the match is on.

St Johns Pool

Kalon Flavell who is currently down at the fishery on work placement landed a very nice 34lb 10oz mirror this morning using a single hook bait, this was Kalon's new PB. (Harry, Robbie I hope you are taking notes!!!).

There has also been a 35lb mirror caught from the road bank this week, more details of this catch when we receive them.


Brasenose One

Tom Maker had an amazing session this week on Brasenose-One landing a staggering 51 fish in only 40 hours of angling. His catch included 20 fish over 20lb, 3 x scraper 20s, 4 x 22lbers, 5 x 23lbers, 1 x 24lber, 4 x 26lbers and 3 over 27lb, all fish caught at 60 yards range using a new test boilie from Sticky Baits, these where fished over a large spombed area of hemp and matching bottom baits.

Also on Brasenose-One was Matt Cox who landed a number of fish, more details on this when we get them.

Gerald Sweeney also got amongst the fish landing seven fish up to 23lb 12oz using Turner Baits supper nutty boilies along with hemp, corn and Mainline pellets.

**The following news is from catches reported to us over the last couple of weeks**


Oxlease Lake

Linear Bailiff Ivor Peachey landed ten fish using maggots, particles and pellets. His catch included a 32lb 06oz mirror along with other fish weighing 20.07, 20.08, 25.08, 26.00, 27.00 and 28.12.

Chris Hughes fished into the teeth of gale forces winds landing fish of 9lb, 12lb and 22lb along with a new PB 36lb 05oz mirror. Chris used 2kg of mainline pellets and maggots.

Jack De'ath had four nice doubles using Vardis Tackle and boilies from Innovate Baits.

Linear regular, Spencer Marks from Bicester landed an impressive 34lb 04oz mirror using a single 10mm Mainline boilie.

And Josh Bennett had seven fish during a two night stint using pellets and boilies from Hinders and Tails-Up. Josh's catch included a new lake record 22lb 14oz ghostie and was topped by a very nice 35lb 04oz mirror.


Brasenose One

Didcot angler Nathan Brown had a nice 27lb 12oz mirror.

Wayne Fearon had three fish using solid bags fished at range filled with maggots, pellets and 10mm fluro hook baits. All Wayne's fish weighed 26lb and ounces.

Ricky Peacock had two fish up to 23lb.

Kev Arkle from Wiltshire had seven fish up to 28lb.

Jamie Brett had two carp up to 25lb 08oz using zig rigs.

Tim Finch had a very nice 26lb 04oz mirror using a zig rig during very cold conditions.

Matt had thirteen fish using boilies from ccbait.com, his catch included four twenties up to 29lb 10oz.

And as I write this I’ve heard Tom Maker is catching loads and is already over 30 fish, more details on this capture when we get them.


Guy Lakes

Matt Reynolds braved the recent gale force winds to land five fish from Yeomans Lake using Boilix Baits nut boilies, his fish included mirrors of 15lb, 17lb 10oz, 22lb, 22lb 04oz and 26lb.

On Unity Lake Kevin Horton had a lovely dark 23lb 10oz mirror on New Years Day.


Brasenose Two

Simon Hendry had four fish during a recent session on Brasenose-Two, his catch included mirrors weighing 14lb 14oz, 18lb 12oz, 19lb and 23lb. All Simon's fish fell to Hinders popz wafters fished over a spodded area of hemp, corn and chopped boilies.

Brasenose One

Most of the lakes have been slow over the last week, with a fish coming out of Oxlease and St. Johns. However on Brasenose-One there have been plenty getting caught with most falling to zig rigs. We've heard reports of at least three different thirties being landed over the weekend -More details if we get them.
