KORDA UNDERWATER-7 DVD “Unlocking the Day-Ticket Code”.

This brilliant DVD was filmed entirely on Linear’s, St. John Pool where the film crew captured some very unique underwater footage of the lakes stunning residents, including it’s most famous resident, ‘The Big Plated’ – which was hooked and landed at over 44 pounds.

“The mission was simple. Go to the busiest day-ticket complex in the UK and fish St. Johns, one of its most popular lakes, which is steeped in history and full of pressured carp that have seen every trick in the book”.

As you would expect from a Korda Underwater DVD there is extensive underwater footage of carp behaviour which reveals some breathtaking footage of the carp’s response to various rigs and bait, definitely not to be missed.

Linear have a small number of these DVD’s that they can pass on. The price is £19.95 and the DVD can be ordered by phone using a credit/debit card: 07885327708 or purchased at the Fishery. Alternatively you can obtain your copy by sending a cheque or postal order for £19.95 to: Linear Fisheries, 12 Farm House Close, Stanton Harcourt, Witney, Oxon OX29 5TD. (FREE POSTAGE ON ALL ORDERS).
Cheques etc. should be made payable to Linear Fisheries Oxford.

Can we please ask all anglers, especially those visiting Manor Farm and St. Johns to respect the areas other anglers are fishing to. On Manor and St. Johns there are areas of the lake where you cannot bivvy-up but can cast across to. If it looks like an angler might be fishing over to a margin please "DO NOT" go and stand right above where they might have a bait positioned. This is especially true of the area where Korda filmed they're underwater DVD, in-between St. Johns and the stock pond.

Please show a bit of courtesy and common sense, as I’m sure this would really annoy you just as much, if the roles were reversed.

Security

Unfortunately in the early hours of this morning (Saturday) an angler fishing on Brasenose-Two had his tackle stolen. The angler has reported that two young looking lads were in his swim yesterday asking questions, possible checking out his tackle. Can we please ask all anglers fishing the complex to let us know if they saw these lads and please keep your eyes peeled. Please pass any info you feel relevant about this incident or in the future onto our bailiffs or security firm (numbers below).

This is the first theft the fishery has had reported in just under two years, can we ask any angler visiting the site to let us know of anything suspicious and please refer to our Security Guidelines shown on our web site. The angler had Delkim alarms stolen and high end reels, this was the common link between the thefts that happened at our fishery and other fisheries in the Cotswold area 2-3 years ago; please refer to our Security Guidelines for advice in making the alarms harder to steal. Can we also please ask all anglers to mark they’re tackle, a product known as Smartwater is available from the fishery at less than cost price, this product can help in deterring thieves but more importantly will help greatly in bringing charges against any thieves caught with stolen gear. Details of the product can be found on our web site.

**Parking In Front of Oxlease Gate**

Can we please remind anglers fishing Oxlease and Hunts Corner Lakes that they are not permitted to park and wait in front of the Oxlease Gate in the morning if it is locked.

The track leading to the Oxlease Gate is controlled be Newlands Angling Club and they do not want anglers parking up waiting along they’re track. There are signs on the Oxlease Gate stating this.

If you get to Oxlease and the gates are locked you must wait up by the Hardwick & Brasenose gate until the bailiff says Oxlease is Open. We appreciate its a long way to drive back from Oxlease if you find it closed but Linear has no control over this as the track is not owned by us.

Thank you for your understanding and any inconvenience caused.
