**Manor Farm Lake and St. Johns Pool**

We are pleased to announce that from Friday morning, the 19th of March we will be re-opening Manor Farm Lake and St. Johns Pool, for day only fishing. They have been closed since Christmas due to Covid restrictions and high water levels, but are now ready for anglers to return. We may keep a couple of swims on the far side of Manor closed for now, due to how muddy they still are. These two waters will join Hardwick/Smiths and both the Brasenose Waters as the only lakes we currently have open. Guys, Oxlease and Hunts Lake & Pond will follow suit in a couple of weeks, probably in-line with the lakes re-opening for night fishing from the 29th of March. Just a reminder the Linear Tackle Shop is now open on a click and collect basis, and One Summer Pond is now also open, with four of its seven pegs fishable.

**Fishery Update**

We now have all of Hardwick/Smiths and Brasenose-Two open and all of Brasenose-One (except pegs 42-45 and 20-22).
We are hoping to have Manor Farm Lake, St. Johns Pool and One Summer Pond open by the end of next week, but we are still a couple of weeks away from opening Oxlease and Hunts.
Levels are still high on Guys, and due to the day only rule, the syndicate will remained closed for now. We are aiming to have Guys open, hopefully with night fishing, from the end of this month.

**Local - Oxfordshire Based Anglers Only**

Just a reminder that under current government guidelines, you should not be travelling to far for your fishing, yes it's a bit of a grey area - But as five anglers found out this morning, Luton, Reading and Milton Keynes do not class as local. all five anglers were sent home.
Let's all muddle through until the end of March, when it looks like night fishing and further travel will be allowed - Until then, please respect the government guidelines and don't travel long distances for your fishing.

**Flooding/COVID-19 Update** 23/02/21

Following on from the government’s announcement last night - It seems that there has been no firm date set for night fishing to commence again, and it will probably not be allowed until the 29th of March, at the earliest, although this has not been confirmed yet. We would like to think it could be earlier, but there is probably just as much of a chance of it being the 12th of April, than an earlier date. We will let you know when we hear more.

The on-site tackle shop is now open on a click and collect basis and we will have most of the pegs on Brasenose-One and Brasenose-Two open for 'Days-Only' fishing, from Thursday the 25th of Feb, along with possibly some of the pegs on Hardwick/Smiths.

Anyone visiting the site must continue to observe by the governments social distancing and travel guidelines. Where possible facemasks should be worn when a bailiff comes round to issue your ticket and always when collecting any goods from the shop. The travel guidelines produced by the government, do seem somewhat vague, so we will just be allowing anglers from the Oxfordshire area to start with, at least until we can get some more clarity on this issue. We will be spot checking driving licences before issuing tickets. Please don’t travel from long distances, as we will take no pleasure at all in stopping you from fishing - Fingers crossed that fishing will get the full green light from the 29th of March, we can then get back to some sort of normal and put these unwanted restrictions behind us. After the year we’ve all had, a few more weeks isn’t the end of the world!

All of our other day ticket and syndicate waters will remain closed for now, as although the water levels are dropping nicely, they are still too high to open next week.

As soon as we have any further info on night fishing, we will let you know.

All the best form every at Linear.

A massive thank you to everyone who has left their loose change in the donation pots at our Tackle Shop over the last year - We've just donated £127 to the Oxford Children's Hospital Charity.
It might not seem much when you leave a few coins, but it all adds up - Thank You.........

**Flooding/COVID-19 Update** 19/02/21

Just a quick update to let you know that we are hoping to get Brasenose-One and Brasenose-Two open for 'Days-Only' fishing from Thursday the 25th of Feb along with possibly some of the pegs on Hardwick/Smiths. We will confirm early next week.

All the other day ticket and syndicate waters will remain closed for now, as although the water levels are dropping nicely, they are still too high to open next week.

Will be opening the on-site tackle shop from Monday the 22nd of Feb on a 'click and collect' basis and should have maggots and worm on sale from Thursday the 25th. The shop will be open every day of the week from 9am.

We will also be paying close attention to the government’s announcements next week, with regards to when we may be able to allow overnight stays and any new info on how far people can travel - We will update on this next week.

It is over two months since we've had anyone on site – the fishery feels empty without people here, so it will be great to see anglers back at the fishery over the coming weeks.

All the best and stay safe!
